Publishing

Ok…I have been adding to the manuscript but the last couple of days, I have been reviewing the book’s characters. I’m up to somewhere approaching thirty. Too much? They all play a part but could I cut some out? I have also not described some of them too well. Note to self: develop or remove!

It can be a very lonely life when you are a new author. The family are getting on with their daily life. You however have suspended all of that to pursue the writing dream. You have the ideas, hopefully, and the ability to actually…y’know… .write but there is so much more. One thing I found

I have been putting off writing one of the key parts to the book – where the name JASON came from. It is obviously important – it’s the name of the book, after all. I want to write in such a way that it is a revelation. Some sensationalism but not too much! Three attempts

I had a day today going back through the manuscript and adding in some of the rich detail that makes a good book great. My extensive travel and exposure to multiple cultures have helped me here. Much of this content is based on direct experience.
