Yes…. After a few fits and starts, the rainy season has licked in. Daily rain for the last 2 weeks, and some of it has been extremely heavy. good that we already tested out new-build house roof!!
I’m definitely not complaining, for 2 reasons:
- more rain means less garden watering, saving time and water usage, which although is cheap, we still pay for.
- the rain cools everything down, meaning the bedroom is semi-bearable before the A/C is switched on.
We will have rain on and off until October. The last 2 years it has been sparse, so we are hoping this year we will get the full rain quota, to replenish the water table and top the big pond right up to the brim.
Yes, the rainy season has finally arrived, and it’s been quite intense. It’s great that the new roof held up well during the heavy downpours. After two years of sparse rainfall, it’s a relief to see the water table replenishing. Hopefully, this will keep the pond full until October. Do you think this year’s rain will be enough to make up for the previous dry years?
Hey there – thanks for the message!
It’s better this year. Thailand is knowen for it’s monsoon season but the last 2 years has been ‘dry’ with the water table not recovering. Looks like this year we will get back to the correct levels and I am very happy about that
Good luck
