Yes…Summer heat and humidity have passed, finally. Also, the summer downpours. We are in the ‘nice’ time of the year now—very pleasant mornings spent in the garden, not clammy or too hot. It’s really great working amongst my tropical plants, which have now matured sufficiently to provide the fabled tree canopy. I’m sure one could lose oneself for hours if suitable seating was in place (it’s not!). but there is always something to do. This tropical garden is forever on the borderline ‘tween a fantastic garden and an overgrown wilderness!
With the winter conditions, once again, I have commenced watering. This can take some time—there are a lot of plantings needing a drink. I have not, however, succumbed to watering every day, like Joy does. I have encouraged my plants to put in deep roots, and so far, it’s worked. I am watering one day in three at the moment, the same as feeding the fish every third day.
In any case, I will miss a lot of the winter months here in PoS…I will be experiencing real winter conditions in the UK – there have already been some icy mornings and last week, the first snow of winter fell. Not a lot but it settled and could be the shape of things to come – lol I really hope so.
There is no chance of seeing snow in Thailand!
