There are some minor changes to make to the manuscript, mainly involving the police and detective team hierarchy. I am working on that today as the publisher will not begin looking critically at my book until I confirm the final version with all the changes.
I got the first invoice today for 1/10th of the contribution I make to the process. I did the math and the total cost I pay will be roughly the same as the total cost I would outlay if I self-published, but I get the benefit of the publisher’s in-house team working with me to produce the best possible book for sale. Win-win? I think so.
I also completed the accounts questionnaire and set up my account with the publisher. This is for the future when, hopefully, the book sells and royalties are paid.
